Summary
After University, I first worked in sales and marketing for two brands creating home decor and bath products. Designed in the U.S. and manufactured in China, I ensured both retail buyers and sales agents across the country received custom brochures, samples, product info, helped close sales, and managed fulfillment and ongoing relationships. Most of all, I enjoyed the leeway given to work with product development to create custom items for large clients like CVS and Walgreens, as well as explore innovative product marketing tactics, perform market research, and propose a CRM to streamline operations.

Shonfelds
As the sales manager for the drug and grocery sector, I managed product development and nationwide sales for 12 sales brokers and various retail clients including CVS, Walgreens, and Kroger. This exciting position entailed constant communication with internal and external stakeholders to generate interest, get feedback, and create customized products for large clients. Since the company was rapidly growing and staffing limited, I often had to develop marketing collateral, info spreadsheets, and products myself while getting final approval on styling and pricing. Sometimes this entailed doing my own photography, measuring item weight and dimensions, and designing new brochures.
Aside from helping close over $5m in sales, I had two notable accomplishments. In my spare time over 6 weeks, I researched European retailers and created a 40-page report. Secondly, after being frustrated with our sales operations process including forecasting, I researched and co-proposed adopting Salesforce as a CRM to streamline processes.
DiaMark
This manufacturer had a talented designer CEO selling bath and beauty products to Target stores. As their first hire, I solo-produced all the marketing brochures and product info sheets including photography, graphic design, layout, and measurements. Secondly, I set up the company in Target's vendor management system which included sourcing and verifying various data from our Chinese manufacturing partner and logistics providers.
